Marc Durst
Mr. Durst has been active in the real estate brokerage business since 1982. For over 25 years he has specialized in the leasing and sale of commercial real estate in the Metropolitan New York City marketplace, with an emphasis on retail properties. In 2007, Marc merged his brokerage company into Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty. Major clients for Mr. Durst have included Ann Taylor Stores, AT&T Wireless, Bally’s Health & Fitness, Baskin & Robbins, Blockbuster Video, Burlington Coat Factory, Chase Bank, Citibank, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds, North Fork Bank, LA-Z-Boy Furniture, Rainbow Shops, Sleepy’s Bedding, Household Finance Company(HFC) and Washington Mutual to name a few. Many of these companies have completed multiple transactions with Marc over the years. Mr. Durst has assisted many retailers with their expansion roll-out programs within the region. On behalf of long-time client Gothic Cabinet Crafts, Marc has assisted the company with 10 store leases. When Pretty Girl Stores wanted to expand locally, they hired Marc to complete 12 new store locations. Working for regional restaurant chain Charlie Browns Steak House, Mr. Durst has acquired 3 new locations. On behalf of companies such as Horn & Hardart, Inc., J Michaels Furniture, Sleepy’s and long-time client HSBC Bank, Marc has disposed of surplus properties throughout the region. Additionally, Mr. Durst has extensive experience in lease and property acquisitions through bankruptcy auctions. He has been involved with portfolio assets of various companies including Pergament Stores, Lechters Housewares and The Garden City Land Company. Marc is a licensed Real Estate Broker in NY and a licensed sales associate in NJ. He is an active member of The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG). |
